Pensacola dog and cat rescue and adoption service seeks new home

by carlislewillard

Poor building conditions caused by water damage has been a major factor in the Pensacola Hotel for Dogs and Cats’ decision to temporarily close.

For 13 years the volunteer service  has rescued dogs and cats and helped them get adopted.

“We love doing our part to unite animals in need with loving forever-homes,” the nonprofit’s website states.

The 900-square foot shelter at 4110 Creighton Road had issues with air conditioning over the years. After the unit was replaced the shelter had had leaks damaging the ceiling. Air conditioning technicians have been unable to find the cause of the leaks.
