One local Facebook Group is ensuring students and teachers have the necessary supplies to be successful. The Supporting Teachers for Back to School in Escambia & Santa Rosa Counties Group was created by Zoe Long to address the lack of support for teachers.
Zoe saw the need for the group when her children went back to school after COVID-19. What started as a small group to ensure students and teachers had the necessary PPE funds to operate has grown to over 2.5k members who provide school supplies for teachers.
Zoe sees this group as the village needed to help the next generation succeed.
