The rightward shift of Miami-Dade appears likely to continue through Election Day. New polling shows Gov. Ron DeSantis enjoying much more support there than his Democratic challenger, Charlie Crist.
Public Communicators Group surveyed 6,656 registered voters Oct. 12-21. The survey had a 2% margin of error.
Nearly 15% of Democrats plan to vote for someone other than Crist, while 93% of Republicans approve of DeSantis. A whopping 42.5% of independents held a neutral opinion or none of Crist. Just 12% said the same of DeSantis.
“Translation: It’s over. And it’s going to be ugly,” Public Communicators CEO Evan Ross said.
