A Pensacola dentist was arrested in the wake of new battery allegations. Dr. Charles Stamitoles had already been arrested three other times for battery this year.
Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo issued an emergency order on June 23 restricting Stamitole’s license.
The order says the 75-year-old has “willfully abused his position as a dentist to sexually violate patients who trusted him to act professionally and within the boundaries of generally accepted treatment.” It goes on to say that “Stamitoles’ deviant actions demonstrate that he poses a significant danger to female patients.”
Stamitoles faces two court hearings for previous battery charges.
