Former Rep. Mike Hill lost his House District 1 seat to Michelle Salzman in 2020. Two years later in the Aug. 23 Republican Primary Election, he hopes to return the favor.
Hill served in the state House from 2014-2016 and 2018-2020, before Salzman defeated him with 52% of the vote.
In 2019, Hill made national headlines when he laughed off a suggestion that people should start stoning gay people. That and his non-apology cost him his spot on the House Public Integrity and Ethics Committee.
Thus far, Salzman has passed five bills during her two years in office.
