Two 20-year-old Alabamans are facing charges of inciting a riot after encouraging a spring break “takeover” of Panama City Beach on social media.
The “wild weekend,” as described by the Associated Press, resulted in the arrests of 160 people and the seizure of 75 guns.
Police arrested Demarion Ty’Quan Cooper and Rasha Boyce Glasper on Thursday in their Alabama homes in the cities of Troy and Wetumpka.
“Law enforcement determined Cooper and Glasper played a substantial role in promoting and influencing their followers to create this disorder with a propensity for violence,” Panama City Beach Police announced after the arrests.
