by Margaret Willard

A federal jury convicted a father and son from DeFuniak Springs on drug trafficking charges, U.S. Attorney Jason Coody announced in a news release Monday.

62-year-old Kenneth Ingram and 32-year-old Kadeem Ingram were found guilty for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and 28 grams or more of cocaine base. The jury reached the guilty verdict after a three-day trial.

The Ingrams were found with nearly five pounds of cocaine as the result of Walton County drug investigation in 2019.

“This prosecution demonstrates the collaborative efforts of our local, state and federal law enforcement partners,” Coody said.
