Former congressman endorses Joel Rudman in CD 3 race

Former U.S. Rep. Jeff Miller has endorsed Republican 3rd Congressional District candidate Joel Rudman.

“Dr. Joel Rudman has the experience in the community, is a bedrock Republican conservative, and will represent us well,” Miller said.

Rudman, a doctor in Navarre, entered the race in March and has outraised his opponents for four straight months.

In recent years he has been a vocal opponent of school mask mandates. Rudman is running to replace Rep. Jayer Williamson, who is not seeking reelection. His biggest opponent is former legislative aide Mariya Calkins.

Rudman was also endorsed by the trade group Florida Realtors.
