Seaside School scored No. 1 in Florida on the seventh grade Florida Standards Assessments Mathematics exam, with 100% of the students passing the test, and No. 2 in the state on the winter Geometry End of Course exam, with 90% of students passing the test.
The eighth- and ninth-grade students also excelled in Algebra 1, with 98% passing the EOC.
Seaside School is the oldest operating public charter school in Florida. It was built after the Seaside homeowners and Seaside Development Community Corporation donated to the location funds that were generated from the movie “The Truman Show,” which was shot in Seaside.
