Downtown Crestview prepares for street, park improvements

by carlislewillard

Downtown Crestview is slated for a series of upgrades in the coming months.

The city park at 375 N. Wilson St. will see a new splash pad, hopefully by early June, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News. It will cost approximately $38,000, of which $30,500 came from the Crestview Rotary Club. Restroom and playground upgrades are also imminent.

City officials are also analyzing contractors to help improve the downtown area, including parking and sidewalk improvements on Main Street. The schedule for that work is undetermined so far, however, as it will be up to the chosen contractor.
