Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday announced that nearly $9 million in grants from the Department of Economic Opportunity will go to communities across Gadsden County.
“My administration is dedicated to making investments that strengthen Florida’s communities,” the Governor said. “These awards will support critical infrastructure in Gadsden County while creating new opportunities for its residents.”
The largest grant heads to Chattahoochee, which is set to receive nearly $3.8 million to repurpose a former school building into a senior center. Gretna will receive about $2.75 million in grants, the county government will receive about $1.8 million and Midway will receive $600,000.
