Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez joined Florida Highway Patrol officers and Sheriffs of Baker, Columbia and Suwannee counties in Lake City this week for a roundtable on the state’s efforts to combat human trafficking and drug trafficking near the intersection of I-10 and I-75.
During the discussion, Nuñez said “politicians in D.C. and in some poorly led states” are too soft on traffickers and Florida “will continue to support the law enforcement officers and highway patrol officers who are keeping our communities safe.”
Between cannabis, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and cash, FHP seized more than $118 million in contraband last year.
