With Fourth of July celebrations including grilling out, sparklers and fireworks, there is an increased risk of truck fires.
When improperly thrown in a trash or recycling cart, used charcoal and fireworks that are still smoldering can spark a fire. Help protect our drivers and first responders by dousing charcoal and fireworks with water.
Additionally, household hazardous waste such as unused chemicals may pose a risk. If you are in doubt about where to place an item, it is safer to dispose of it at one of the approved drop-off locations listed on your local county website.
