by carlislewillard

Fishermen in the Panhandle may’ve set a new record for the largest bluefin tuna ever caught in Florida.

According to HarborWalk Marina in Destin, fisherman on April 17 reeled in an 832-pound bluefish tuna off the Gulf.

The current state record is an 826-pound bluefin caught in 2017, per the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

“I’ve never had so much respect for a fish and to catch him in the Gulf of Mexico is a feat of it’s own!!” said Devin Sarver, one of the fishermen. “This bluefin was as bad as they come, God is great!”
