Jimmy Patronis touts Escambia arson arrest

by Margaret Willard

Florida CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis announced Wednesday that investigators in his department have arrested a man on arson charges after he allegedly set fire to an occupied apartment building in Cantonment.

The accused, Cody Lee Tullis, was booked into Escambia County Jail on Wednesday and faces up to 30 years in prison.

“When you play with fire, eventually you get burned. I want to thank our hard-working arson detectives who work to ensure arsonists are kept out of our communities,” Patronis said. “If you commit arson in Florida, you will be caught and brought to justice.”
