With House District 3 Rep. Jayer Williamson stepping down, Dr. Joel Rudman and Mariya Calkins will face off in the Aug. 23 Republican Primary Election.
Rudman has been a family doctor in Navarre for 17 years. He’s been endorsed by Williamson, former U.S. Rep. Jeff Miller and Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis as well as the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Florida Realtors, and the Florida Medical Association.
He has been a vocal opponent of school mask mandates.
Calkins, a former legislative aide, has been endorsed by U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz and state Reps. Tommy Gregory and Anthony Sabatini.
