Renowned economist to speak at CivicCon

Economist John List will speak at the free CivicCon event in Pensacola on Aug. 14.

Ranked as one of the world’s most influential economists, List is a Distinguished Service Professor in Economics at the University of Chicago and Distinguised Professor of Economics at the Australian National University.

In 2002 and 2003 List served as a senior economist in the George W. Bush administration. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and recently came out with a best-selling book called “The Voltage Effect.”

List will talk about inflation, interest rates, global finance and early childhood education.
