Seacoast Collegiate High School grad earns National Merit Scholarship

by Margaret Willard

A graduate of Seacoast Collegiate High School was one of 2,500 recipients of this year’s National Merit Scholarship Program.

Reagan Wells, who lives in Walton County, was one of 15,000 finalists to qualify for the award, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News. Wells graduated from Seacoast Collegiate High School with a 4.68 GPA. She also earned a Bright Futures Scholarship.

Wells already earned her associate’s degree from Northwest Florida State College while attending high school. She is set to start as a freshman at the University of Alabama in the fall, and plans to earn a communications degree.
