The recent Pensacola Beach Blue Angels show was the largest to date, according to the Santa Rosa Island Authority.
Reported toll averages show there were over 5,000 more vehicles that crossed the Pensacola Beach Bridge than in 2021. The entire weekend drew 58,676 vehicles that averaged three people per car. There was an average of 19,500 vehicles each day, with records showing Friday’s practice show drew 715 more vehicles than Saturday’s dress rehearsal.
The higher number of boaters was due to the calm conditions in the Gulf. The event drew tourists from across the country, from California to New York.
