Pensacola celebrates Bike to Work Day Friday

by Margaret Willard

Pensacola is encouraging residents to ditch their car keys in favor of a bike helmet when they celebrate Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 20.

May is National Bike Month, and Pensacola is jumping in on the occasion to urge residents to opt for a more environmentally-conscious form of transportation during work hours.

A group bike ride will take place from Dunwoody Park to City Hall. Riders will meet at 7:45 a.m and leave at 8 a.m. The city will then offer food and events on the City Hall lawn from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
