Walton County considers new ‘vision statement,’ motto

by carlislewillard

Walton County Commissioners have unofficially agreed to a new vision statement for the county. The updated slogan says Walton County aims to “be the premiere county in which to live, visit, work and play.”

It’s unclear when the Commission will give a final, formal sign-off to that phrase. Commissioner Danny Glidewell also said the shift in the strategic planning effort could affect the county’s “Pride, Preservation, Conservation” motto and seal.

“I think we do need to decide if that’s going to be our motto and stay on the seal, or if we’re going to have a new motto,” Glidewell said.
