Virginia man flying to Pensacola sentenced to prison after assaulting flight attendant

by Margaret Willard

A Virginia man who assaulted a flight attendant while traveling to Pensacola will serve one year in prison.

According to prosecutors, 30-year-old Kameron Stone attempted to enter the cockpit of a Pensacola-bound flight as it prepared to land.

Stone, who was intoxicated, shoved a flight attendant in the process, injuring her. Passengers and off-duty officer restrained the man until landing.

“Perilous acts such as this will be investigated by our law enforcement partners and vigorously prosecuted by this office,” said Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Stone will also serve three years of probation.
