Naval Air Station Pensacola and Tyndall Air Force Base are receiving millions in improvements after being struck by recent hurricanes.
The California-based Environmental Chemical Corporation has been awarded an $87 million contract to repair 41 of NAS Pensacola’s buildings after Hurricane Sally hit the region in 2020.
Furthermore, as the Air Force continues its “Installation of the Future” plan to rebuild Tyndall AFB following Hurricane Michael’s landfall in October 2018, the base is getting a $19 million improvement. That contract is going to EMR Inc. in Niceville to design and construct a civil engineer maintenance shop and storage area.
