Matt Gaetz calls for crackdown on intelligence community

U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz wants the intelligence officials who claimed the emails at the center of the New York Post’s exposé on Hunter Biden were a “Russian information operation” to be barred for holding security clearances.

The legitimacy of the emails was later confirmed by the New York Times. The CD 1 Republican’s request is included in a House resolution titled “The Spook Who Cried Wolf.”

Co-sponsoring the resolution are fellow GOP Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona, Dan Bishop of North Carolina, Louie Gohmert of Texas, Paul Gosar of Arizona, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Thomas Massie of Kentucky.
