by Margaret Willard

Fort Walton-Destin Hospital was recently recognized for its “excellence” in patient safety.

Healthgrades, a review and rating organization, ranked the hospital among the top 10% in the nation for patient safety. The distinction is significant, earning the hospital the 2022 Patient Safety Excellence Award.

“We remain committed to the care and improvement of human life, and are proud of the tremendous work our dedicated team puts in every single day,” said Fort Walton-Destin Hospital CEO Zach McCluskey.

More information and hospital rankings are available online. Patient safety issues include preventing infections, medical errors and other preventable medical complications.
